Notice on the Sixth “FB Cup” International Photography Exhibition for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing & Disabled People’s Charity Photography Exhibition with Theme of “Life • Sunshine”

In order to fully demonstrate the self-improvement spirit of disabled persons, call on more people to take care of disabled persons, further push forward disabled persons’ cultural construction and promote the sound development of disabled persons’ culture and art, the Sixth “FB Cup” International Photography Exhibition for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing & Disabled People’s Charity Photography Exhibition with Theme of “Life • Sunshine” is held. Society-wide photographers and photography enthusiasts are hereby sincerely invited to actively participate in this grand event and submit their works.

II. Requirements for Photo Keynotes

Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

1.Focusing on the theme of “China Dream • My Dream”, highlighting the disability community’s spiritual character of exerting unremitting efforts in the process of achieving China Dream, reflecting the majority of disabled people’s life pursuit to actively participate in the whole society, jointly construct and share, expressing disabled people’s strong desire to enjoy the common well-off life; fixing, crystallizing and demonstrating disabled people’s splendid moments in the process of pursuing dreams and realizing dreams in the form of photographic art, recording disabled people’s dreams with video, attracting widespread attention for disabled people’s dreams, and helping disabled people realize their dreams.

2.Highlighting humanitarianism ideology, eulogizing the disabled persons’ brave spirit of making unremitting efforts to improve themselves, upholding the values orientations of equality, fraternity, tolerance and mutual issuance, and demonstrating the Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and overseas disabled persons’ daily life, rehabilitation, education, culture, sport and social environment, as well as assistive activities for disabled persons in the documentary manner.

3.Introducing natural conditions, folk customs and beautiful sceneries at home and abroad, and presenting worldwide picturesque landscape and ingenious creativity.

Group of Other People

1.Focusing on the theme of “China Dream • My Dream”, highlighting the disability community’s spiritual character of exerting unremitting efforts in the process of achieving China Dream, reflecting the majority of disabled people’s life pursuit to actively participate in the whole society, jointly construct and share, expressing disabled people’s strong desire to enjoy the common well-off life; fixing, crystallizing and demonstrating disabled people’s splendid moments in the process of pursuing dreams and realizing dreams in the form of photographic art, recording disabled people’s dreams with video, attracting widespread attention for disabled people’s dreams, and helping disabled people realize their dreams.

IV. Awards

Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

(1) Category of Camera Photo (a total of 40 finalists): Prize of RMB 2,000 for every work

(2) Category of Mobile Photo (a total of 20 finalists): Prize of RMB 1,000 for every work

Group of Other People

A total of 30 finalists: Prize of RMB 2,000 for every work

The finalists will be also presented with certificates of honor, and can be eligible to apply for cumulative membership points according to the provisions of Chinese Photographers Society. At the same time, every finalist will be presented with Fengbiao gift pack with value of RMB 2,000 (including a handle, UV mirror, a mobile power, a camera bag and a set of rechargeable battery pack).

Shenzhen Fengbiao Electronics Co., Ltd will be responsible for paying prize amount to all finalists, and withhold personal income tax. The same submitter can exhibit at most three works).

V. Detailed Rules for Submission

1.All participants shall fall into either Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (limited for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) or Group of Other People (limited for people other than the Deaf and Hard of Hearing). Participants in Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing can only choose a category for submission. Simultaneous submission with camera photo and mobile photo should be disallowed.

2.Submitted works should present distinct themes and proper contents. For Group of Other People, documentary works are preferred. Colorful and black-and-white works are acceptable. For Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, works should not be limited by theme, genre and style. Every participant should submit at most ten works. Both single photo and series photo are allowed (at most 4-10 photos in every series). Series photo should be deemed as one work .

3.New works are encouraged to participate in this exhibition. Works, which are created by artistic means, are allowed. But it is prohibited to change original photo to the extent that its authenticity is affected.

4.Participants shall ensure that they are original creators of submitted works, and enjoy independent, complete, distinct and uncontested copyrights on the whole and part of such works. Participants should have the right to use portrait for figures shown in exhibited photos and copyrights of submitted photos. Moreover, participants should also promise that submitted works never infringe upon copyrights, portrait rights, reputation rights and other legitimate rights and interests of any third party. Participants should bear all the consequences and liabilities arising from their works and submission behaviors.

5.The jury will appraise the submitted works. The intended shortlists will be displayed on the Internet to accept social supervision.

6.After the works are on exhibit, Organizers will collect the original data files for the exhibition and album production. All creators of these works must submit digital files or scan negative film (when photo is taken via photographic film) to Organizers within the specified time limit. Overdue submitting will automatically waive exhibition qualification.

7.No submission fee should be charged for this exhibition. All works will not be returned to submitters.

8.Organizers and Undertakers should have the right to launch copying, distribution, exhibition, screening, information network communication and other means to display all shortlisted works in the relevant promotion campaign, and no longer pay royalties during the valid period of copyrights.

9.All participants should be deemed to agree on and conform to the foregoing rules.

10.Appraisal results will be published and announced on www.cpanet.cn (a website run by Chinese Photographers Society).

11.Organizers reserve the right of final interpretation of this Notice. All participants should be deemed to agree on all provisions of this Notice.

VI. Notes to Submission

2.Submitted works should be named in the form of “Work Name + Province + Submitter’s Name + Work Category (Category of Camera Photo in Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Category of Mobile Photo in Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Group of Other People)”. In case of series photo, folder should be also named in this way, and every series photo should be marked in sequence. Participants in Group of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing must present their re-shot or scanned disabled person’s certificate, and send electronic copy of such disabled person’s certificate together with their works.

3.The submitted works should feature the format of JPG, file size of at least 2M and long edge accuracy of at least 3,000 pixels.
