The 5th FIAP Photo Meeting kicks off in Shandong in August 2017

The 5th FIAP Photo Meeting will be held in Shandong from August 8th to August 14th. Over 300 photographers from more than 90 member states of FIAP will come to shoot scenic attractions in Shandong. In the hometown of Confucius, they are uniquely placed to appreciate the very glamour of Oriental culture.

Approved by Ministry of Culture and People's Government of Shandong Province, it is co-hosted by FIAP, Shandong Tourism Development Commission, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, and Shandong International Culture Exchange Center.


According to the organizer, during the meeting, a series of international conferences, photography exhibitions, academic exchanges, and cultural tourism promotions will be held which include the opening ceremonies of the 5th FIAP Photo Meeting and exhibitions, shooting activities on the theme of “Friendly Shandong”, and group shooting tours of foreign photographers to Jinan, Tai’an, Jining, Zibo, Weifang, and Qingdao. Many exhibitions will also be held such as International Image Art Exhibition of Silk Road Flavors and World Heritage, Image Art Exhibition of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage, Group Exhibition of Global Outstanding Photographers’ Classic Works, and many other large-scale photography exhibitions. What’s more, Summit on Cooperation among Silk Road Photography Organizations will be held in Qingdao during the meeting. The principals of the related photography organizations will be invited to discuss the photographic communication and cooperation among the Silk Road nations.

FIAP Photo Meeting is a biennial international photography festival, which is widely renowned as the Olympics in the photography field of the world. Since 2007, it has been successfully held in Italy, Greece, Indonesia, and Cuba successively.
